Of late she has been an Outlaw designer and seamstress to Rock Royalty in LA with her company Stand and Deliver.
Rob Castle, fom Hampshire, England was singer guitarist and hellraiser with XX Cortez and more recently the Black Bullets (who Louder Than War have tipped for greatness from the start). Relocating to LA meant…

The Black Bullets have drafted in a new singer and front man Liar Billy T and have recorded a new EP which is out soon (a review will follow as soon as) and don’t have anything but good wishes for there former mainman. Any bad blood was spilled and mopped up pretty quickly it seems.
As for Corey, despite her tuff-girl ball-breaker image, she seems smitten. This is part of what she said to me a month or so back.
“He reminds me to laugh and not take myself too seriously, he shows me how it’s really all the little things along the way that matter most. He not only knows how to talk the talk but walk the line, EVERYTIME. God damn white boy has got motherfucking soul!
He’s a stellar Rhythm guitar player that could give Malcolm Young a run for his money.
He realizes the value in hard work because he understands it’s not what you do, but how you do what you do.
He makes friends everywhere he goes and effects everyone he meets (in one way or another).
He always leaves his mark.
He is kind.
He tries to hide his smile when he knows I’m watching him up close.
I think he’s fucking beautiful and my knees start shaking when he whispers in my ear. I never knew the meaning of the word “protected” until this gentle creature graced my threshold and showed me what it truly means. I have known him before this time , I look in his eyes and its as though I have come home. What a gift to be able to see yourself through someone else’s eyes who only sees the best in you. I am completely blown away and for a girl who’s been around the block once or twice and thought she had the the world by the balls, that black bullet went straight through the heart.”
Well thats her hard-nosed, evil motherfucker image blown for good.
Rob and Corey have an as yet-un-named band together and Rob has been asked to work with Jimmy Bain ( from Dio, Thin Lizzy & others), he’s been practicing in Slashs studio and hanging out with Lemmy, a friend of Coreys from way back.
The last time I saw Rob in person was in a Charity Shop in the Southampton suburb where I live, he had jeans on, covered in plaster from the building site he was working on and had nearly choked to death on the exhaust fumes leaking into his old van. Its great to see that he’s got out of this country and is going up in the world, has met a dream lover and soulmate and I wish him and Corey all the luck in the world with marriage and their band. It’ll be a bumpy ride maybe, but a hell of a journey.
From the first time I saw Castle, heading full pelt at a brickwall on his BMX and somersaulting through the air as it hit and went up the wall, I knew he was gonna be a star. Here’s the boy in the old days (see video above).
