Playing a few shows in support of a brand new live album due out this Autumn on Cherry Red, Mark E Smith presents his new extended line-up featuring second drummer, Daren Garett, (formerly of PRAM and Nightingales) alongside his longest serving line-up of all time.

The Fall formed in Manchester in 1976 and has existed ever since. Essentially built around its founder and only constant member, Mark E. Smith the group’s music has gone through several stylistic changes over the years, but is often characterised by an abrasive guitar-driven sound and frequent use of repetition, always underpinned by Smith’s distinctive vocals and often cryptic lyrics.  Beloved of John Peel, and pretty much everyone else who has ever mattered in alternative-music circles, Fall shows remain a completely unique experience. A miasma of krautrock, rockabilly, garage and metal, The Fall remain, as John Peel so aptly described them, “always different, always the same”
