Austin, Texas shoegazing noise popsters Ringo Deathstarr have received a fair bit of attention from Louder Than War over the years – interviews, album reviews, and a top 10 favourite albums for instance – so we were over the moon to find out that they’re teaming up with one of out favourite labels, Invada, to put out their new mini-album on 19th April, aka Record Store Day. Watch a video from it below.
As we first reported back in October 2013 the mini album, Gods Dream, originally came out on December 18th through Vinyl Junkie Recordings in Japan. At the time they were still looking for a Europe and US distributor. It’s taken a while but they’ve finally found one, in the shape of Bristol’s Invada.
The new version of the album, which drops on record store day, is a 7 track mini album released on a limited run of 500 units on Golden Yellow vinyl with download card.
The video below is for the opening track of the album, Bong Load. We have the following quote from the band to share with you about it too:
“This video is filmed on an iphone, and consists of stuff from our recent US tour with Purple. It was inspired by the movie “Rubber” as well as all the best music videos. Not only is the song Daniel’s (drums) singing debut, but this video was edited by him as well.”
