One of the reasons music’s always so exciting is the possibility that around the next corner the next artist you’re gonna listen too could totally floor you. This has just happened to Jeff Mason. Read on to find out who the band were & ready yourself for the possibility that the band could do the same to you.
Every blue moon a band or artist turns up that makes you Stop! Look! and Listen!.
Well that’s just what Skeleton Suite did for.
Rising from the still smouldering ashes of Hans Island this newly formed four-piece band have stumbled upon a massive sound in just a few months of being together.
Back in early 2012 Hans Island had come to the end of their road. But Ben Robinson(Drums) and Dean Glover(Guitars) didn’t want to just walk away from all the years they had dedicated to their cause. So they went back to the drawing board and started to pencil in their next battle plan.
They already had a few tunes they’d held back, so this gave them something to build on. Next was to seek out new members. First to arrive was Jack Gibbard (Bassist) followed shortly after by Lewis Brookes(Vocals / Guitar). With the foundations now firmly in place, it was time to build, and build they did. Their bomb-proof sound comes straight from the air raid shelter, and gives the impression they have been around for ever and not just a few months.
In my opinion they are one of the most exciting guitar bands I’ve heard in a very longtime, and if you get the chance to catch them live I promise, you will not regret it. You can check out their gig list on the website.
