If it’s so easy to control internet porn what about internet music pirates?

So, the talk is of controlling internet porn with David Cameron urging internet giants to ‘blacklist’ search terms and with pledges to step up fight against extreme material.

“I have a very clear message for Google, Bing, Yahoo and the rest. You have a duty to act on this – and it is a moral duty.

“The question we have asked is clear: if CEOP give you a black-list of internet search terms, will you commit to stop offering up any returns to these searches? If in October we don’t like the answer we’re given to this question then I can tell you we are already looking at the legislative options we have to force action.”

It doesn’t look easy but if it’s do-able then why not a crackdown on pirates stealing and distributing music?

Pirates will argue that this is an infringement of civil liberties – are they happy with extreme porn on the internet? Should we be able to get what we want from the internet? Thoughts and comments please!
