Win a pair of tickets to see Evil Blizzard in Liverpool
Journalists and music fans regularly whip themselves into a frenzy in their efforts to heap praise upon an emerging band – all manner of hyperbole is spewed in their efforts to tell the world how a particular band or artist is re-defining music…history tells us that in most cases their excited ramblings are often way off the mark as said protégée stutters to a grinding halt after one ridiculously obscure 7” and a few now forgotten gigs;
Preston based Evil Blizzard may well be the band to break that cycle; already receiving praise from LTW boss John Robb who described them as being “unlike any other band on the planet” , Robb was so impressed he appeared on stage with them at a recent gig, BBC 6music DJ Marc Riley has privately requested an advance copy of the recently recorded album, and Mark E Smith said of them “I like Evil Blizzard, they give me hope that music is alive and kicking” before insisting that they support The Fall on recent dates…
Evil Blizzard will be taking their bass, drum, bass, more bass, and yet more bass plus an abused Theremin to Mello Mello, Liverpool on the 5th July2013.
We are delighted to be able to offer 2 tickets for the gig in the latest LTW ticket giveaway; this will be your chance to witness the sonic assault that is Evil Blizzard live; the bizarre stage outfits, the facial masks, acres of impenetrable dry ice and a wall of sound that that the audience are invited to contribute to as those at the front are handed members guitars; Evil Blizzard will leave you shell-shocked!!
